Sealants

We routinely recommend sealants, which are bonded plastic coatings that protect the pits and fissures from tooth decay. They are usually placed on permanent back teeth after they erupt into a child's mouth. They are a valuable aid in protecting children and adolescents' teeth, especially during the age range when their tooth brushing and sweets consumption may not be their top priority.
